 The same thing happens in relationships. Things go wrong. Depending on how important that relationship was to you, you may or may not panic. When you do panic, you need to give yourself time to calm down. Don’t do anything drastic to make it worse. Try to find something that gives you a little peace of mind and calms you down. I know it is tough, but usually reacting to a relationship problem immediately causes more damage. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got when I had a relationship problem was to do nothing. I know, hard to do, but it is true. If someone leaves you or wants to break up, you usually will push them further away by overreacting. I’m not going to say that doing nothing will guarantee they will come back to you, but if there is a chance at all, it is because they had time to reflect on the relationship and realized they made a mistake. But if you are being an emotional pest, they won’t have the time to think or miss you and it reenforces why they wanted to break up with you in the first place. If you need to do anything, find a good friend to talk to, but leave the person who wants to break up with you alone. If you are hoping, he or she will come back to you, leaving them alone may be your only chance they will. But if you are bombarding them with phone calls, emails, messages, etc., they will use it as justification for wanting to break up with you in the first place. My wish is that everyone finds the love of their life and never has any problems, but like everything in life, that may be a bit unrealistic. Instead, we all have to face trouble or problems and how we handle it may determine the final outcome.
